Gwynedd-Mercy College 93, Delaware Valley 83

GYWNEDD VALLEY (PA) - Francis Bowe poured in a career-best 37 points to help Gwynedd-Mercy College to a 93-83 win over Delaware Valley in non-conference action Thursday evening at the Griffin Complex.

Bowe hit seven of the Griffin's nine three-pointers while going 12-of-15 from the field and adding six rebounds. His layup off a steal capped an 18-3 Gwynedd-Mercy (2-6) run to start the game. His second trey midway in the stanza pushed the lead to 30-13.

However, the Aggies (0-7) outscored the Griffins, 25-10, over the next nine minutes to cut the deficit to 40-38 before going into the locker room only down 46-40. Zack Van Dyke had six points while Ryan Walsh added five in Delaware Valley's big run.

A 21-9 run to start the second half saw the Aggies take a 61-60 lead with just over 12 minutes to play on Dominque Brown's soft bucket underneath. The Griffins rallied and pulled away for good after Bowe's final trey of the contest gave Gwynedd-Mercy an 80-74 lead with 2:13 to play.

Isaiah Pinckney paced Delaware Valley with 22 points while Pat Lenahan added 14 in his first start of the team. Brown scored 11 points off the bench while Van Dyke had 10 points on the evening.
