Men's Basketball University of Scranton
64, Delaware Valley 44 SCRANTON (PA) -- The Delaware Valley
College men's basketball team concluded the 2004-05 campaign with a 64-44 loss
at The University of Scranton in a Freedom Conference game. The Aggies
improved on last year's 4-20 record by going 9-16 overall and 4-10 in conference
play. The Royals head to the Freedom Conference playoffs as the third seed with
a 19-5 overall record and 10-4 mark in the conference. Delaware Valley
trailed by one, 23-23, with 4:26 remaining in the first half, but Scranton used
a 12-5 to take an eight-point advantage into the locker room. The Aggies then
managed just 16 points in the second half on 6-for-28 shooting from the field.
Meril Branch was the lone Aggie in double figures as he came off the bench
to notch 13 points and eight rebounds. Randall Graves wrapped up his collegiate
career with nine points and the senior guard finishes second all-time in steals
with 134 and third in assists with 280. Randy Arnold paced Scranton with
15 points. | |
