Lycoming College 75, Delaware Valley 66


DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Junior forward Jonathan Pribble scored a game-high 31 points to lead Lycoming College to a 75-66 victory at host Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.

The Warriors, who are the defending Freedom Conference champions, improved their record to 12-3 overall and 3-1 in the conference. The Aggies fell to 5-8 overall and 1-3 in the Freedom.

The 6-foot-5 Pribble was 13-for-20 from the field, including a 2-for-7 effort from beyond the arc, and 3-for-8 from the foul line in 35 minutes of action. His performance helped Lycoming shoot 56.5 percent from the field in the contest.

Pribble scored the last five points of the first half, including a 3-pointer with one second to go, to give the Warriors a 38-32 lead. He opened the second stanza with a dunk and then scored six of Lycoming's next nine points as the Warriors held a 49-39 advantage with 14 minutes left.

Lycoming upped the lead to as many as 15 and still held a 65-51 advantage with 6:26 remaining before Delaware Valley scored nine straight to make it a five-point ballgame, 65-60 with 3:26 left on the clock. Randall Graves scored four points in the run. However, Pribble had back-to-back baskets for a nine point lead and the Aggies never pulled closer than six points the rest of the way.

Kevin Morris and Dave Pearson joined Pribble in double figures with 14 and 10 points respectively for the Warriors. Pearson also grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds while Shaun Morris dished out 11 assists.

Isaiah Pinckney matched a career high with 26 points in 37 minutes of action for the Aggies. The 2004 Freedom Conference Rookie of the Year also added three steals and two assists. Orlon Baker and Maurice Slaughter each had 11 points and eight rebounds in the loss.
