FDU-Florham 95, Delaware Valley 65

MADISON (NJ) - Chris Hendershot scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead FDU-Florham to a 95-65 victory over visiting Delaware Valley College in the Freedom Conference opener for both teams.

The Aggies saw their two-game winning streak snapped as they fell to 2-2, 0-1. The Devils upped their mark to 3-2, 1-0.

FDU-Florham held a 19-point advantage, 45-26, at the half and increased the lead to as many as 35 in the second stanza. The Devils shot 60.7 percent from the field (34-for-56) for the game, including a blistering 69.2 percent (18-for-26) in the second half.

R.J. Callaway was the lone Delaware Valley player in double figures as he came off the bench to hit three, 3-pointer and finish with 13 points in 11 minutes of action. Mike Ezell had nine points while Orlon Baker and Maurice Slaughter had eight points apiece.

Hendershot played just 24 minutes for FDU-Florham and was 9-for-12 from the field and 7-for-8 from the foul line. Jeff Hemschoot added 15 points while Matt Cushing and Nate Lawrence chipped in with 12 and 11 points respectively.
