Wilkes University 100, Delaware Valley 80

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Dave Plisko continued his hot week for Wilkes University as the senior guard scored a game-high 30 points in the Colonels' 100-80 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.

Wilkes improved to 14-7 overall and 7-4 in the conference. The win, combined with FDU-Florham's loss to Lycoming College, gives the Colonels a 1½ lead over FDU for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Freedom. The Aggies fell to 4-18, 3-9 with the loss.

Plisko, who came off a 31-point effort (29 in the second half) in a win over the University of Scranton on Wednesday, came out flying and scored 20 points in the first half as Wilkes jumped out to a 50-33 halftime advantage. He finished 12-for-20 from the field (4-for-10 from 3-point land) and 2-for-4 from the foul line in 30 minutes of action.

The Colonels shot 51.4 percent from the field, including a 58.8 percent showing in those first 20 minutes. They also registered 29 assists on 38 field goals. John Yanniello added 11 points in the victory while Ryan Milford notched 10 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.
