University of Scranton 81, Delaware Valley 69

SCRANTON (PA) -- Brian O'Donnell tied a career high with 28 points and also pulled down 11 rebounds to lead the University of Scranton to an 81-69 Freedom Conference victory over visiting Delaware Valley College.

The Aggies (3-14, 2-5) trailed by just, 42-36, at halftime thanks to hitting 6 of 14 shots from 3-point land. Mike Zupa connected on a trio of long-distance shorts and finished the first half with 13 points.

However, Delaware Valley could not get any closer than six points the rest of the way. One of the reasons was O'Donnell who hit 10 of 14 shots from the field and 8 of 14 attempts from the foul line. Sean Clark and Bill Burke also hit double figures for Scranton (3-15, 1-6) with 13 and 12 points respectively.

Erik Tegethoff paced Delaware Valley with 20 points and seven rebounds, including 16 points in the second half. Zupa finished the night with 15 points while Isaiah Pinckney contributed 13 points. Javon Alston came off the bench to add 11 points, four assists and four steals.
