Lycoming College 90, Delaware Valley 76

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - L.J. Huggler and Jonathan Pribble combined for 46 points and 18 rebounds as Lycoming College rallied from a halftime deficit to down host Delaware Valley College, 90-76, in a Freedom Conference game.

Huggler finished with 27 points and nine rebounds while Pribble added 19 points and nine boards. Earlier in the season, the two combined for 59 points and 19 rebounds in a 95-67 victory over the Aggies in Williamsport.

Delaware Valley (3-17, 2-8) shot 48.1 percent from the field in the first half as it took a 36-34 lead into the intermission. The Warriors (15-5, 7-2) came out and scored the first five points of the second stanza for a 3-point lead, but the Aggies tied it up on four separate occasions.

Lycoming built a five-point lead, 67-62, as Huggler hit a layup with 7:52 to go, but Delaware Valley came right back as freshman Mike Zupa nailed back-to-back 3-pointers just 34 seconds apart for a one-point Aggie lead.

The Warriors took the lead for good as Curtis Mays scored five straight points to start a 23-6 run that resulted in a 90-74 Lycoming lead with seven seconds remaining. Brad Musser had nine points in the spurt while Mays and Huggler contributed eight and four points respectively. Both Mays and Musser finished the game with 15 points.

Freshman Mike Thornton paced the Aggies with 18 points, six rebounds and six assists. Fellow rookie Javon Alston scored 17 points while Zupa and junior Erik Tegethoff added 13 and 12 points respectively.
