MEN'S BASKETBALL: Chestnut Hill College 72, Delaware Valley 59

PHILADELPHIA (PA) -- Chestnut Hill College outscored Delaware Valley College 39-26 in the second half to break a halftime tie and defeat the Aggies, 72-59, in a non-conference game.

The teams were tied at 33-33 at the break as Delaware Valley (3-11) hit 15 of its first 35 shots from the field (42.9%). However, the Griffins shot 53.8 percent from the field in the final 20 minutes and held the Aggies to 33.3 percent shooting to pull away.

Erik Tegethoff had 19 points and eight rebounds to lead Delaware Valley. Isaiah Pinckney added 14 points while Mike Thornton poured in 12 points - all on 3-pointers. Javon Alston dished out eight assists in the loss.
