Delaware Valley 83, Valley Forge Christian College 73

PHOENIXVILLE (PA) - Sophomore guard James Avant came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points as the Delaware Valley College men's basketball team posted an 83-73 victory at Valley Forge Christian College.

Avant hit eight of 10 shots from the field in just 25 minutes of action. He led an Aggie attack off the bench that scored 46 of the team's 83 points. Freshman forward Matt Morrison was a perfect 4-for-4 off the bench and finished with nine points in just 14 minutes.

Delaware Valley (5-9) led 44-38 at the intermission and shot 48 percent from the field. The Aggies also held a 42-32 advantage on the boards.

Sophomore forward/center Josh Wurtz hit double figures with 13 points while freshman forward/guard Frank Finney added 10 points in the victory.
