WILLIAMSPORT (PA) -- The Lycoming College men's basketball team
dominated the contest from start ot finish as the Warriors downed
visiting Delaware Valley College, 96-51, in a Freedom Conference
game.
Lycoming (4-1, 2-0) got out of the gates quickly, scoring the first
10 points of the game. The Aggies (1-4, 0-2) weathered the early
onslaught and fought back as they pulled to within four midway through
the first half. However, the Warriors closed the half with a 17-6
run that gave then a 44-29 cushion at the intermission.
Lycoming then held Delaware Valley to just five points through
the first 10 minutes of the second half while scoring 34 points
of its own to take a commanding 78-34 lead.
Sophomore guard Kevin Wolf was the lone Aggie to reach double figures
as he finished with 13 points. Freshman Tim Smink had nine points
off the bench while fellow rookie Brian Singer had eight points.
