DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Senior center Darren Pugh notched 21 points and
22 rebounds to lead the Lebanon Valley College men's basketball
team to a 71-56 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a non-conference
game.
The 6-foot-8 Pugh entered the game ranked fourth in Division III
in rebounding with an average of 11.7 boards per game and he added
to that total on Saturday. He had 15 points and 10 rebounds at halftime
while his total of 22 boards was just seven less than Delaware Valley's
total as a team.
The Flying Dutchmen (6-5) scored the first six points of the game
and never looked back. They built the lead to as many as 20, 58-38,
with 5:35 left. In addition to Pugh, Lebanon Valley was led by Evan
Harlor (17 points) and J.D. Byers (11 points).
The Aggies (4-7) were paced by sophomore guard Kevin Wolf's 17 points.
Freshman forward Frank Finney added 13 points and sophomore forward/center
Josh Wurtz contributed seven points and a team-best nine rebounds. |
