JAKUBOWSKI NAMED FREEDOM CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Delaware Valley College senior third baseman Zach Jakubowski (Audubon, NJ/Audubon) has been named the Freedom Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the period ending March 23.

Jakubowski batted .556 (10-for-18) with a double, triple, six runs scored and seven RBI as the Aggies went 3-2 during the week to conclude their Spring Break trip to Florida. After knocking in two runs in a doubleheader split with Earlham College, Jakubowski went a combined 5-for-6 with three runs scored and four RBIs in a split with Utica College. He ended 2-for-5 with two runs in a 16-0 win over Crown College.

Jakubowski is batting an even .500 on the season with two doubles, three triples, 12 runs scored and 16 RBIs. His three triples give him nine in his career to tie two others for the Aggies' all-time record.

Delaware Valley is 8-6 overall and 1-1 in the Freedom Conference. The Aggies conclude a three-game series with King's College with a nine-inning contest in Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday, March 25 (3:30 p.m.).
