ISGRO NAMED FREEDOM CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Delaware Valley College sophomore Mike Isgro (Galloway, NJ/Absegami) has been named the Freedom Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the period ending March 16.

Isgro's first game as a collegiate starter (he came out the bullpen last year) saw him hurl a complete-game, three-hit shutout in a 7-0 triumph over Pitt-Greensburg on March 14 as part of the Aggies' Spring Break trip to Fort Pierce, Florida.

Isgro allowed singles in the first, third and seventh innings. He walked three batters and fanned a career-best eight over the seven innings.

Isgro is also the Aggies' starting rightfielder and he is batting .381 (8-for-21) with three runs scored and three RBIs. Delaware Valley is 4-3 on the season and returns to action in Florida on Wednesday, March 19 when it battles Earlham College in a doubleheader.
