BASEBALL: Delaware Valley 14, Drew University 4 (Game 1)
Delaware Valley 8, Drew University 0 (Game 2)

DOYLESTOWN (PA) -- The Delaware Valley College baseball team improved to 15-5 overall and 6-3 in the Freedom Conference as the Aggies swept a doubleheader from visiting Drew University, 14-4 and 8-0, on Sunday.

In the opener, Mark Roth, Bret Thiel and Brandon McCabe led Delaware Valley's 13-hit attack with home runs. Thiel and McCabe's shots were back-to-back homers in the second inning as the Aggies increased their lead to 4-0. They built the lead to 14-0 before the Rangers scored four times in the top of the sixth.

Thiel went 4-for-4 with a double, the home run and five RBIs. McCabe was 3-for-3 with the home run and also drove in five runs. Mick Bigwood picked up the victory and improved to 5-2 on the year.

The nighcap saw Zeke Boren pitch a five-hit shutout as he improved to 4-1 on the season. Ken Keiffer broke a scoreless tie in the fourth by blasting a three-run homer. A.J. DeNardo then added a two-run shot in the sixth.

McCabe had another big game as he went 2-for-3 with a double. DeNardo finished 2-2 with a pair of RBIs while Keiffer's big shot was his lone hit on the second game.
