DelVal’s Department of English offers degrees in English literature and media and communication. Students have the opportunity to gain relevant professional experience through academic conferences, internships, the literary journal, yearbook, newspaper, and writing center. Small class sizes allow students to work closely with dedicated and talented faculty members with courses that regularly have fewer than 10 students. Faculty members have worked for nationally published newspapers, cable television, video companies and public relations firms and are active in the industry by working independently as writers, editors, video producers and photographers. Members of the faculty include Bucks County’s youngest Poet Laureate and the recipient of the Best-Producer Award at the 2010 Mid-Town Manhattan Theater Festival.
