Graduates of our counseling psychology program are prepared to make positive changes in the world! Our curriculum fosters skills in critical thinking and communication. We emphasize ethical and social responsibility in a diverse world so that graduates develop multicultural competence and social advocacy skills. Faculty mentor students throughout their years at DelVal. Students present at national and international conferences, participate in community events and travel abroad! All of these experiences connect with classroom learning so that graduates are ready to succeed in the field.
Alumni are working in community mental health, pharmaceutical research, hospitals, human resource organizations, and residential group homes. Others have continued with their education at graduate school. Interested students can remain at DelVal to earn a master's degree in counseling psychology.
