Today, landscape professionals:

  • Are in high demand. There are currently more employment opportunities than there are qualified individuals.
  • Provide settings with trees, shrubs, and herbs, which help promote well-being for the people who get to enjoy them.
  • Install and maintain our landscapes and natural areas.
  • Bring landscape designers’ blueprints to life.

Our program in landscape contracting and management will provide you with an in-depth knowledge of the industry’s professional demands.

In our four-year degree program, you’ll gain:

  • Practical knowledge and technical skills
  • Expert preparation for management positions in: landscape design/build, landscape construction, landscape maintenance and management, arboriculture, and public horticulture.

Some graduates continue their education in plant science graduate programs for careers in: teaching, extension, research, and industry.

Plus, you will have opportunities to network at major industry events, such as the Eastern Regional Nurseryman's Seminar, the Mid-Atlantic Nurseryman's Field Day, the Philadelphia Flower Show and The Penn Atlantic Nursery Trade Show.  Some students even travel to Europe to tour facilities and attend conferences with professors.
