This program provides all students with a solid IT concept foundation, which includes computer hardware and software, web technologies, telecommunications and networks, databases and information systems. It also emphasizes hands-on practical experience in a small laboratory environment, and Provides a quality educational program to students who want to be leaders in information technology and management.

Founded in 1984, the Computer and Business Information Systems Department (CBIS) at DelVal provides our students with a strong foundation in theoretical backgrounds and practical skills. Our program emphasizes the integration of broad business and real-world perspectives, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, interpersonal communication and term work skills and IT solutions. In recent years, the CBIS curriculum has been redesigned to reflect the most important aspects of computing in a business environment and to provide a rich set of computing experiences. Major companies in the Delaware Valley have provided both internships and permanent employment opportunities for the CBIS students and graduates.
