The guidelines and forms below are specific to the Master of Science degrees in educational leadership, and teaching and learning, as well as those seeking certification in school administration, supervisor of curriculum and instruction, or supervisor of special education.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the United States or proof of equivalent preparation from a foreign college or university with a minimum 3.0 cumulative average (4 point scale). Applicants with lower grade point averages may be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis.

Applicants may be allowed to transfer up to six graduate credits depending on their chosen program. Courses must have been completed at an accredited graduate institution with a 3.0 or higher. Expiration dates of potential transfer credits may vary depending on the time-sensitive nature of the course content.

Applicants should submit:

  • A completed Application for Admission form with non-refundable application fee of $50* (payable to Delaware Valley College)
  • Official transcripts of all coursework for graduate and undergraduate institutions attended
  • Three references (on the Reference Form) from professional or academic references, appraising the candidate's potential and capacity for graduate study
  • An essay not to exceed 500 words describing why you wish to pursue a graduate degree in education and how it will contribute to your professional goals
  • A comprehensive, current professional résumé
  • Students from countries in which English is not the native language must submit the Test of English as a Foregin Language (TOEFL) with the application.
