Biography
Karen Schramm taught at Rutgers University and University of Delaware while pursuing her M.A. and Ph.D., respectively. She then worked as an adjunct at a local community college in New Jersey before joining the DelVal faculty in 1996.
Throughout her 29-year teaching career, she has won awards for teaching excellence. In addition to teaching, she is also active with scholarship and service and is an active philanthropist, supporting causes to protect people, animals, and the environment.
Schramm is advisor to The Gleaner and the designer and co-chair of the Solutions Student Writing Contest.

Conferences, Presentations, and Publications
Dr. Schramm has presented at numerous conferences on technology, education, and American literature, at ALA, NEMLA, and Lilly Conventions.
Her publications include a definitive chapter on promotional literature in the Oxford Handbook of Early American Literature, and about 28 other works.
