Biography

Prior to joining the faculty of Delaware Valley College in 1996, Jeff Young taught full-time at both Louisiana State University and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. At DelVal, he regularly teaches courses in fundamentals of algebra, college algebra, elementary functions, and calculus. Other courses that he has taught include linear algebra, modern algebra and number theory, and mathematics seminar.

He also coordinates the mathematics assessment testing, serves on several college committees and has been a member of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) for over 15 years. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, making molded chocolates, and visiting theme parks to ride roller coasters.
